5 different, lovely measuring sheets with every animal sized exactly to the nearest whole cm. All you have to do is print them on A3 or A4, according to their file name. A really fun way to get children measuring. These could be sent as homework, done in class as printed sheets or,my favourite, laminate them and hide them around the room so the children have a treasure hunt. If you label them A B C etc then the children can make their own record sheet (see the handwriting practise sneaking in there?!) and it’s easy to mark.

I also use them as challenges. For example:

  • Can you find a broom longer than 5cm?
  • Can you find a boat between 6 and 10 cm?
  • Can you choose 4 dragons and put them in size order?

So many possibilities. My class love these every year!
