Whole class guided reading unit of work which has been created for Year 3 students or students nearing the end of Year 2. Can be completed daily over 2/3 weeks depending on pace. Unit of work includes text extract, focus on developing VIPERS skills with a hook, big question to get children to discuss and share ideas, vocabulary focus, reading fluency following teacher model, explain a page, developing inference, with mixed viper questions for children to tackle independently at the end of the unit.
