This presentation designed for potential use as a no preparation starter or a plenary activity in KS3/4 Geography. The presentation consists of 10 “challenges”. In each challenge the students are presented with 4 Geographical names, towns, countries, rivers etc and are asked to use their Geographical knowledge (use of Atlas etc at the teacher’s discretion) to “rank” the 4 terms according to a given criteria e g land size, population size, location etc.
The presentation can be used in a number of ways, as a pen and paper exercise or as an oral classroom whiteboard activity. The whole presentation consists of 24 slides with hyperlinks fully embedded throughout for ease of navigation.
