These workbooks are designed to align with UK Functional Skills Maths standards, targeting Entry Level 3 learners with progressive challenges leading up to Level 1. Task 3: Sprint Times & Speed
• Finding fastest and slowest sprint
• Ordering data
• Calculating average times
• Applying the speed formula
• Comparing sprint times to a benchmark

Task 4: Budgeting and Discounts
• Identifying most/least expensive items
• Adding totals using decimals
• Rounding prices for estimation
• Determining eligibility for discounts
• Applying percentage discounts and assessing affordability

Task 5: Angles and Elevation
• Identifying angles within an ideal range
• Ordering and comparing angle data
• Estimating shot effectiveness
• Using logic to explore angle elevation in shot scenarios

A bonus “Final Whistle” challenge section pushes learners further with Level 1+ extension questions, and a Reflection activity encourages group discussion on real-world applications of maths in football.
