Aimed at KS3 - KS4, this education pack introduces students to the history of the Kindertransport and experiences of child refugees today. It encourages empathy, critical thinking, and discussions on children’s rights to safety through a one-hour lesson, film clips from Good Chance and Gecko Theatre’s ground-breaking theatre performance “From Here On”, worksheets, extension activities and an optional assembly plan. It is primarily written to be used as part of the Citizenship curriculum, but could also be useful within Religious Education, History, English or Drama lessons.

Excellent for use during Refugee Week or more generally for starting conversations with your students about the experience of people from around the world seeking safety in the UK.

The materials have been developed with Paddy Carr, a Humanities, Religious Studies and Philosophy teacher with over 30 years teaching experience in secondary schools, including lots of resource creation.
