All the resources needed to give a lesson about why the Iberian lynx is endangered, concluding with a diary writing task.

This pack contains the following resources:

• Iberian lynx decline cause and effect matching activity
• Iberian lynx diary WAGOLL

• Iberian lynx diary feature find answers

Using the lesson presentation slides and pupils’ research, teach pupils about the endangered Iberian lynx; pupils match the cause and effect cards to explain the decline in lynx population; share the model diary text; pupils examine the text using the feature find sheet; and then pupils write their own diary entry from the point of view of the threatened animal.

The diary writing task has cross-curricular links to the Year 4 programme of study in science: Living Things and Their Habitats - To recognise that environments can change and that this can sometimes pose dangers to living things.

The resources are both editable Word/PowerPoint files and PDFs.
