The resource includes:
- Two PowerPoints (one for Temperature and the other for Alcohol)
- A Spreadsheet for data entry (with examplar results and graph)
- A video of Daphnia (so students can see where the heart is)
- An accompanying worksheet / teacher notes
This lesson is ready to go, with little preparation required. It is intended that students will collect their own data using Daphnia which are readily available from most pet / aquarium suppliers. The PowerPoint also takes the students through the calculation of standard deviation and Student t-Test.
Can be used for both A-Level Biology (especially OCR PAG 11.2) and well as BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and also higher level GCSE.
