A great game for teaching reading and spelling of the year 1 CEW. The teacher starts by reading out a CEW and the child with the corresponding word on their card stands up and says 鈥淚 have xxx. Who has yyy鈥� - reading the next word on their card. The game continues until all of the cards have been read.
Cards have all of the Year 1 CEW on them (45). More able pupils could have two cards.
Great for reinforcing prior learning, a plenary, a carpet game or for a game with smaller groups (several cards each). Could also be used by groups of children as a follow on or fast finisher task.
