This is a website for students and teachers of Citizenship at KS3 and KS4. It supports the national curriculum and the syllabuses of the three national exam boards. It covers human rights, identity and diversity, democracy, and international relations including migration, asylum seekers, and border control. A section on life skills includes the increasingly important financial literacy and financial fraud. A section on the EU provides profiles of the member states and explains how laws are made. Students will find an easy to navigate source of authoritative facts, presented in a colourful and lively style. For teachers there are lesson plans, suggestions for class activities, talking points on current issues, quizzes and role plays. Above all it is regularly updated.
The creator is a trained teacher and former governor and chair of governors of a major secondary school in Chichester. He is a longtime member of the ACT who regularly attends its CPD workshops and annual conferences including last year’s on the use of AI in the classroom. Try it!
