Included in this resource is a model response for both the descriptive task (a image of a train in stormy weather) and the narrative (write the opening of a story about a place severely affected by the weather) from the AQA English Language Paper 1 specimen based on Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
Both models include an array of language choices, sophisticated vocabulary, figurative language, ISPACED to vary sentence starters, punctuation for effect and a clear structure in-line with the AQA mark scheme.
